The department of ophthalmology is committed to the alleviation of suffering from eye disease and enhancing the quality of vision. The department is equipped with canon auto refractor, Goldman perimeter, Non contact tonometer, Topcon slit lamp, keratometer, A-Scan, YAG laser and modern theatres where cataract surgery with IOL implantation, Glaucoma orbit and occuloplasty are conducted. The department is manned by qualified and experienced professors and consultants. The department handles outpatient services that include refraction, prescription of appropriate glasses, slit lamp bio-microscopy, evaluation of anterior and posterior segments, Applanation tonometry and indirect ophthalmoscopy. Regular screening is undertaken for glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and hypertensive retinopathy. |
