An Understanding of Biochemistry is vital for the understanding of the physiology of life. With this objective the university’s teaching programme has been tailored to suit the undergraduate student’s needs. Integrated teaching involving pre-clinical and clinical departments provides an innovative approach. To fullfill these goals we maintain state-of-the art laboratories equipped with semi-autoanalysers, blood gas analysers, spectrophotometers, get electrophoretic apparatus, flame photometers and chromatographic chambers.

The department library is stocked with essential books and periodicals for student reference. Students will be encouraged from the beginning to make full use of all the facilities provided.
